This replacement for your GE MWF filter acts as a high quality, cost-effective alternative to the factory original. How To Install The MWF Filter: 1. Remove the old filter cartridge by grasping and turning to the left about 1/2 turn. 2. Fill the replacement filter with water from the tap to allow for better flow immediately after installation 3. Place the top of the new cartridge up inside the cartridge holder in the refrigerator. 4. Turn the cartridge 1/4 turn to the right to lock it into place. You will feel it stop and lock in place. Do not over tighten. 5.Flush new cartridge by dispensing water for about 3-5 minutes. Your refrigerator manufacturer recommends dispensing at least 2 gallons of water to remove trapped air from the water line and discharging any loose charcoal sediment. 6. Press and hold reset water filter button if your refrigerator has one. Useful Tip: If your water flow is reduced, or it begins to taste like tap water, you know it is time to change your filter.
